Dazzling Cafe is North York’s latest import from Taiwan. The cafe specializes in cute from pink and white walls to chairs with built in bunny ears. While the decor was perfect for selfies, the food and dessert menu was equally photogenic. Stephen and I visited for lunch along with a few other bloggers to sample the menu and indulge our sweet tooths.

From the drink menu, Stephen order a Cafe Latte while I tried the Dazzling Black Tea. His drink was smooth and creamy while mine was fruity and refreshing. I really liked how my drink had a nice tea flavour, a hint of sourness and a good amount of sweetness without being overpowering. After trying a few sips of other drinks at the table, I even ordered a second Dazzling Tea without any hesitation.
As for food, our table was loaded full of dishes. Overall, I thought there were a number of hits and some misses. My favourite appetizer was the Mentaiko Fries, a heaping plate of crispy fries topped with a creamy mentaiko mayo sauce and shredded nori. Stephen enjoyed the sauce on the wings. The largest section of the food menu at Dazzling Cafe was their selection of pasta. We tried three different types. My favourite was the Bacon and Poached Egg Spaghetti while Stephen liked the Roasted Chicken Leg with Basil Pesto Sauce Spaghetti. We also tried the Mentaiko Spaghetti, but I found the sauce wasn’t creamy enough and didn’t cling to the pasta. Priced between $13 and $16, I did feel they were a touch high. We did also try one of the pizza items, which was underwhelming.
The highlight of our meal at Dazzling Cafe was dessert, especially the take-away cups. Both the Honey Toasts and Waffles were excellent. I liked the texture of the cream on the honey toast and how crunchy each square was. With the take-away honey toasts, only the sweet, crunchy squares were included and used to build layers with cream and fresh fruit.
